ABOUT US

Founded in 2020, Shake and Bake is a full-fledged cafe specializes in a wide array of pastry such as cakes, bread, and western dessert as well as indulgent drinks like milk tea and coffee. We are also the first flagship store of Sweet Hut Bakery & Cafe - a behemoth homegrown bakery chain owned by a Malaysian Chinese in the United States that also prides on baking artisan bread with love and passion.

Adopting American baking technology and fusing it with Asia's cultural melting pot, we are a one-of-a-kind bakery that stands out from our equals, be it the ingredients, flavors, or texture of our bakes. We are not a run-of-the-mill bakery that operates a business only for the sake of making money but because we love baking and we want to serve you the best pastry in town, and perhaps beyond.

Our enthusiasm for baking further expands in our team through fostering an energetic and young working culture. In fact, almost most of us are either millennials or Gen Z. Not only we were given the chance to stay afloat against this pandemic, but we also believe that the youth plays an important role in propelling the nation ahead.

Our Beliefs

• We possess a high sense of professionalism and integrity in work. That said, we only use top-notch ingredients and shall never compromise our quality with the addition of preservatives, pork, pork lard nor alcohol.

• We believe freshness of pastry retains our customers. All of our bakes are made from scratch and fresh every day, no bread will be left overnight. This is our secret recipe.

• We often push ourselves beyond our limits in promoting the three ideal elements in our working culture -- diversification, rejuvenation and life.

• We hold closely on the belief of connecting people through delectable pastry baked with love and passion. We want to create a space where everyone comes in to Shake & Bake not just for the amazing food and warm smiles, but because they love that we love them.

• We truly understand creativity and innovation have no limits. That is why we always think out of the box, exploring new flavours and tastes, with the only intention of making you feel cherished on the deepest levels.

OUR RECOGNITION

• We are honoured to be recognised and certfied with Cafe Unity by the YB Datuk Halimah Binti Mohamad Sadique, the Minister of National Unity who launches a brand new program namely “𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘾𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢”. We are extremely grateful to be the first cafe in Malaysia in to kick-start this program nationwide.

• People are often segregated by racial and cultural differences and this social issue is no stranger in Malaysia. Malaysia is not only multi-ethnic, multi-religious, and multicultural but is diverse in many other ways. Hence, disunity tends to take place in our daily lives and national unity is still lacking in a strong way. However, through food, we are able to come together and share our heritage and culture with one another.

• Sharing a meal together is the most communal thing in almost every corner of the world and with this, we strongly believe that all of us can come together as one to simply enjoy a meal together with no regards of how diverse we all are.
